The Breed

The breed is a natural breed, strongly built and larger than the average cat, it has evolved and adapted to survive in hash climates, it has a long waterproof top coat with a woolly undercoat, a long bushy tail and large tufted ears, there are tufts of fur between their toes which protect the paws and prevent sinking in deep snow. Its long, strong legs and claws make it an excellent climber, even climbing rocks.

It comes in all coat colours with the exception of pointed patterns, chocolate, lilac, cinnamon and fawn.

The aim of breeding these magnificent cats should be to preserve the original characteristics that have evolved through natural selection over thousands of years.
